I showed up to work (my basement office) this morning wearing a black and silver Superman T-shirt, Old Navy cargo shorts and Gotcha flip flops. I have no meetings or appointments scheduled for today and my plan is to hunker down for the next several hours and finalize my message for Sunday: "Overcoming the Fear of a Meaningless Life". I'm going OT this week with a passage that most people have probably never read: 2 Samuel 23:20-23.
I was at the ball field last night talking up Jersey Day. And it sounds like everyone including their great aunt is coming to Graystone on Sunday. One of the coaches is planning to bring his entire team to the 5PM service, so they can take advantage of the free pizza and ice cream. With so many people coming, I am feeling a little pressure to "deliver the goods". I'm trusting God that if He can speak through the mouth of a donkey, then he can get His message through me.
Please be praying for God to speak through me and in spite of me this Sunday!
