Today, I am walking on cloud 19. No, I didn't hit a "hole-in-one" or win the Pee Wee Softball Championship. These are the Top 5 Reasons that I'm Pumped:
1. We received the site work permit from Gwinnett County. We have official approval to break ground at the land.
2. We have scheduled our ground breaking service for Sunday, June 1, 10:00 AM. We are going to have ONE BIG SERVICE at the land under the pavilion with everyone together (kids and all). We are going to have a regular church service: worship set, sermon, etc. and then, we are all going to participate in the ground breaking ceremony and have a prayer of dedication. Then, we will have a big cookout, softball game, etc. Mark your calendars. It is going to be a special day.
3. It looks like more than one bank is willing to give us the loan for $2.5 million that we have been requesting. God is good. It looks like he has answered our prayers. BUT let's keep praying until it's official.
4. Sunday is going to be the most exciting day in the history of Graystone Church. The baptism pool is set up and already full of water. It is going to be a huge day of celebration. The bible says that the angels in heaven throw a party when one person is baptized. What kind of party are we going to throw on Sunday when 50+ people make a public profession of their faith through baptism? PRAISE GOD! Get ready for Sunday! Be there early to make sure you get a seat. It will be standing room only. And I want to go ahead and let you know ahead of time, that I will be bouncing off the walls on Sunday morning. And it will not be because I am drunk (I do not drink alcohol.) or am on drugs ( I do not take drugs.), but I am going to be riding high on God for his incredible favor and goodness to Graystone Church.
5. We are rolling out the final plans for the new building. It looks so coooooooooool! I think everyone is going to love it. Seeing the finished drawing makes the HUNDREDS of hours in building team meetings so worth it. Please thank the building team for all their hard work and especially Gordon Lawrence, our architect, for all of his work, sacrifice, donation of the resources of his entire team/office, and putting up with me and Kyle through the process.
Other considerations for my pumpedness: Jesslyn's due in one month, softball/baseball regular season ends tomorrow, the nursery is finished, Kyle and the band are rocking my new favorite song on Sunday (but Heath won't let me tell you what it is), I live in Grayson, Georgia and not New York City, 3 more days of school (good for Jenn), Fertilawn takes care of my yard, I weigh 30 pounds less than I did 5 months ago, the 3rd Annual Graystone Golf Tourney is coming up!
