Well, Jesslyn likes it in Jenn's womb and is showing no signs of entering the world anytime soon. God's will and timing are best. I'm a little bummed out that God did not answer my prayer (The answer was "NO".) for Jesslyn to be born Memorial Day Weekend. Please continue to pray for a healthy mom and baby.
I'm normally not too excited about meetings, but I have a couple of big ones today. At staff meeting, we will be finalizing our ONE BIG SERVICE for the Ground Breaking Ceremony on Sunday, June 1 at 10:00 AM. I will give you more details later in the week. Also, we will be planning out our Sunday services in June as we join hundreds of churches for One Prayer.
My second meeting today is a Financial Team Meeting. These are not usually too fun, but today we are deciding what bank to use as we move forward with the construction loan on the new building. This is exciting stuff. Our builder, Ryan Hollandsworth with Garrard Construction, keeps mentioning that we will be in the new building for our Christmas Eve Services, but I am hoping for Easter 2009. Maybe we can get a pool going to pick the first Sunday that we will be in the new building.
PS Something just seems wrong with the church having a pool betting on the date of the grand opening of our new building. Hey, maybe we can guess Jesslyn's birthday. If you would like to make a guess on what day she will be born, please leave it as a comment to this blog. Her actual due date is June 16th.
