We just rolled back in town from Birmingham. It was nice to actually take some time off and disconnect from normal duties for a couple of days. We spent last night in the beautiful home of Keith and Kim Nix which is overlooking Oak Mountain State Park. Keith smoked a couple of Boston Butts and Cord and Heather Sachs, Greg and KaKa Mixon, Kevin Nix, and all of their kids came over for lunch today.
After a great time of food, fellowship and laughter (most of which was at directed towards me), we drove over the our good friend's house, Carter and Monica Stewart. Carter grilled a couple of pork tenderloins, and we had a great time catching up. Julia especially had fun with their three beautiful daughters: Elson, Bradford and Francis. We arrived home a little late tonight since the kids have school in the morning, but it was well worth it getting to reconnect with like-minded friends.
God is good!
Johnny
PS If you live in the Grayson School District, please make an effort on Tuesday to go by Grayson High School and vote for Terry Jackson for the Grayson High School Council. Anyone who lives in the Grayson School District can vote. You do not have to have a child enrolled at GHS. It would be nice to have a person of Terry's character and a member of Graystone Church in this strategic position as we strive to DOMINATE our community with the love of Jesus Christ.
PSS Wade and Laura, thank you so much for keeping Stitch. If you want to keep him forever that is fine with me, but the rest of the family may have a little different opinion.
