Success?

In our Sunday night men's small group, we are holding each other accountable to memorizing Scripture. Our verse last week was Joshua 1:8, which says "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." The Bible verse promises that if we are obedient to the word of God, then we will be "prosperous and successful".

This lead to quite a good discussion on what it means to be successful. Several of the guys in the group shared what "success" meant to them. Well, what is your definition of "success"? At the end of your life, what will determine if you are successful or NOT? What do you want written on your tombstone? What do you want said at your funeral? What are your goals and dreams in life? Are you fulfilling them? Are you living a life that is "prosperous and successful"?
