Let Us Fix Our Eyes On Jesus (Part 3)

Meditate on Christ-crucified
"To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
22"He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." 23When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." 1 Peter 2:21-25

"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again." 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Any thoughts?

Jonathan,
The first thought is unworthy - why that for me? The second thought is wow - that was a big sacrifice! The third thought is get busy - someone who has sacrificed so much for me, my very least response should be service. The fourth thought is give it my best - I have His resurrection power to live victoriously, let's go win.

Good thoughts...I like the idea that His resurrection power lives in me. I believe if I could truly grasp this truth, it would change the way I live.
