Last night, we packed close to 700 men, women and CHILDREN inside the main auditorium for our two Christmas Eve services. I'm glad that everyone had a seat. The music was phenomenal. The band could not have done any better. We have the most talented group of musicians and singers. I am especially proud of Candace Lane and her new song, "There is Peace". I am praying that this song gets in the right hands, so people all over the world can experience it.
Someone after the service asked me, "Where did you get the 2nd part of your message?" I asked what he meant, and he said that someone in his family had not spoken with her mother in a year. And he said that I kept looking at them during the sermon. I told him that I had no idea about his family situation, and I never purposely look at anyone in particular during my sermons. I simply share the messages that God lays on my heart. Yesterday's message, God laid on my heart while watching "Home Alone" with my family. It is both a blessing and a curse to be God's messenger. But that is another topic for another day.
So, next time you think that I am looking at you and speaking directly to you, I am not. God is. The question is, "Are you listening to God?" And "Will you be faithful to do what He is calling you to do?"
For the fourth year in a row, "The Little Drummer Boy" was a BIG HIT! Sorry band, but you guys will be playing this song 10 years from now. It is a part of the Graystone Christmas Eve Tradition.
I hope you experience the power and presence of God this Christmas Day!
