As I write this blog, The Black Eyed Peas song, "Let's Get It Started" is playing on my iTunes. Friends, my new year resolutions/goals start today. It's on like Donkey Kong.
Monday morning weigh in: 208.5 lbs (goal: under 195 on July 20)
We sold out of Bibles yesterday at Graystone. This is a good sign. We are ordering more. So, if you do not have a good easy-to-read translation, you can pick one up next Sunday. Remember to bring your bibles to church. Speaking of, who is Matthias? You would know if you if you read your Scripture reading for today.
Monday, January 5......Acts 1
Tuesday, January 6.....Acts 2
Wednesday, January 7...Acts 3
Thursday, January 8....Acts 4
Friday, January 9......Acts 5
Let's go deep in THE WORD this year.
Johnny
PS When making a BIG DECISION, is it Biblical to pray about something, then flip a coin? This would make some decisions a lot quicker and easier.

I just finished reading Acts 1. Three words in verse 14 leaped off the page for me - "with one accord". Can you imagine what we as the body of believers at Graystone could accomplish for His kingdom if we are collectively passionate about a common purpose (with one accord) to "be the church" in our community and beyond! I'm fired up!!!
To answer your question about the coin flip - according to Acts 1:24-26 the answer is yes its ok to pray and then flip a coin...
Ok guys - I prayed and did the coin toss and it said "in God we trust." Then I flipped it again and it said "e pluribus unum" which means "many uniting into one." So I guess a coin toss is a good thing - you might be on to something.
