Guest Blogger: Heath Hollandsworth

First off, I would like to start off by saying it is an honor and privilege to be the first guest blogger on Johnny's Blog. We will see if I am ever allowed back.

To all you access: graystone readers, I want to take this time to apologize to you guys. You've probably been wondering why there has been no activity on that blog in a while. Well, the blame is on me. But don't worry. Something is exciting is in store for the future. You will just have to wait and see what that is.

Now to what I'm here for. As many of you know, Easter is rapidly approaching. And by rapidly, I mean R-A-P-I-D-L-Y. And since Easter is usually the Sunday where most people invite their friends and family, we thought we would help you guys out with that process a little bit with the use of some cool web tools.

EVITE

This is one of the coolest things about the new website. And the great thing is it's really easy to use. All you have to do is click the "EVITE" button on the bottom of the page (or click here to go straight there), fill out the following form (you can send it to 10 email addresses at a time), and there you go. They will receive an email in a matter of seconds. (You can add an optional personal message and preview the "EVITE" if you'd like.)

Facebook

First of all, let me say this: If you aren't on Facebook already, why not? There is really no good reason not to join. If you are a Facebooker and haven't joined the Graystone Church group, click here to join.

The Facebook Invite tool is one of the coolest things to come around since sliced bread. We have set up an "Easter @ Graystone" event and all you have to do is go to the top right hand corner of the Event homepage and click "Invite People to Come".

From there, you can add every friend of yours that has not been invited already. Then they can RSVP their response. Pretty phenomenal.

With all the advances in technology in the last few years, there is zero excuse not to use these incredible tools. I mean, it's just another avenue to reach people for Jesus Christ, right? (And what's the worst thing that could happen? They say no. And then you're right back where you started if you were to not use this stuff in the first place.)

Join me as we leverage technology to share the love of the Gospel.
