I have spent the last couple of days hunkered down in my study. This is not something I particularly enjoy, because I love to be with people. But it has been quite productive. I was able to finish this week's sermon, In His Hands (Part 2): All Things, and believe it or not, I wrote my Easter sermon for April 12. I was forced to plan ahead, because Heath is heading out of town next week for a mission trip to South Africa, and he needed to get all of his work (bulletins, videos, pro presenter, etc.) done before he left. Hopefully, the Easter sermon will be better than usual, since I am planned in advance, but I will put that one "In His Hands".
The other BIG thing going on is that we are scheduled to close on the construction loan for the new building on Monday. This has generated an exceptional amount of admin work (closing papers, insurance, contracts, legal documents, financial statements, and thousands of emails). I would like to give a shout out to Jim and Dale for all of their hard work behind the scenes.
Please be praying that the closing goes through. If it does, we will begin construction on Tuesday, March 31. I have been a little hush hush about this, because the first 3 times I announced our ground breaking, it did not happen. I wanted my faithful blog readers (Friday is the least hit day of the week for my blog) to be in the know, so you could be praying. I will keep you posted.
In His hands,
Johnny
