Easter Sunday 2009

Approximately 880 people packed God's house this morning at Graystone to celebrate Easter. Praise God! I am honestly not sure how we can get that many people into our warehouse space with only 2 services. One of the staff guys ( I will not mention any names, but he is the only one bigger than me.) has an interesting theory that God shrinks everyone when we enter the building. He says that it is kind of like the fish and loaves principle. When he shared this with the staff team one day while we were grabbing lunch at Beef's, I laughed so hard that my side hurt. Well, I'm not sure how God does it, but it is certainly a God-thing that so many people are showing up to worship Him in an off-the-beaten-path warehouse space on an industrial parkway. To God be the glory! If one person's life was changed today for all eternity, it was worth all the hard work.

Speaking of hard work, I want to thank all of our incredible volunteers. You guys are amazing! Graystone is a total team effort, and we could not do it without you. I heard that all of our volunteers showed up early, in full force and ready to serve. The parking team (How about the police officers in uniform? Too cool!), the greeters, the ushers, the children's workers, the band, the tech team....EVERYBODY did an incredible job. And God is using you to DOMINATE our community with the love of Jesus Christ. Thank you for serving our Risen Savior with me.

Happy Easter!
Johnny

PS The best is yet to come.
