Tuesday Tidbits

I'm claiming Genesis 9:11-13 for the Atlanta area. The kids have been out of school 2 days in a row because of flooding.

I'm meeting with the staff guys this morning for discipleship. Hopefully, they will have their scripture verses memorized. If not, it will be lunch money for me. Cash is a great motivator for accountability...$1 a verse. We are memorizing a verse a week, if you want to join us. Here are the first 6 weeks: Galatians 2:20, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 12:1, John 14:21, 2 Timothy 3:16, Joshua 1:8.

What is our number? $124,944 to be given to "finish the building".
Our goal is to have the entire $400,000 received by October 25 with a dream move in date of November 1 (This is a major TRUST GOD!).

This week, I'm reading Bill Hybel's, Holy Discontent, and it will be the subject for my message Sunday as we continue our series, USE ME.

The MS Mullets secured their first win of the year last night with a huge MNF game by Peyton Manning and Dallas Clark. The Mullets now sit in 3rd place in the GFFL (Graystone Fantasy Football League) with a 1-1 record.

At the building this week: painting interior walls, finishing drop ceiling in children's area, installing windows and doors, and much, much more. I will post some pictures later in the week. The rain has already delayed us 7-10 days on the outside work. The biggest factor that will hold up the CO (Certificate of Occupancy) will be finishing the decel lane/road work...please pray for this!

Finally, and most important, I am looking for 2 tickets to the LSU @ Georgia game on October 3, if anyone can hook me up!
