Monday Morning Download

A few dozen people were baptized yesterday at Graystone...Glory to God!

The majority of the baptisms were spontaneous with people getting baptized in the clothes they wore to church.

Seeing so many people "get out of the boat" and put their faith in God was inspiring.

I'm not sure why everyone laughed when I mentioned that I was "buff" and "ripped".

Megan Clark's testimony within the song "Coming Back to Life" performed acoustically by Trey, lead singer of Echoing Angels, was one of the most powerful moments in the history of Graystone.

God's grace is AMAZING!

I truly appreciate the humility of Echoing Angels. Those guys are incredible!

Seeing John Bagley, who lost both legs and his left arm in a horrible train accident, being baptized with the help of Bodie Dickerson, who was the first police officer on the scene to save John's life, was one of the most powerful moments in the history of Graystone.

How does God follow up a miracle? with another miracle.

We saw a few dozen miracles on Sunday. Every changed life is a miracle. Baptism never gets old.

I'm pretty sure that the fire marshal would have freaked out if he showed up at Graystone yesterday morning. Did we really pack 450 people in the 9:30 service?

I got a little emotional in the first service when Echoing Angels performed my favorite song, Washed by the Water. I honestly think they play it better than needtobreathe. I really connect with that song. I guess you know why?

The forecast calls for no rain this week. Hopefully, we can get the parking lot poured.

I heard that there is a rumor going around that Graystone is a cult...whatever.

I think we might be at the beginning of a "revival" or an "awakening" or whatever you want call it...a special movement of God.

Does anyone else think it is funny that my parents Sunday School Class with all their friends is called the Young Adults SS Class? My mom says that there is one lady in the class under 50.

The MS Mullets are trailing Clark W. Griswold (Heath's team), by 5 points heading into MNF. I have John Carney and Michael Turner. Heath has Lance Moore and Reggie Bush. Go Falcons!

Lord willing, our first Sunday in the new building will be December 6.

Right now, moving day is scheduled for Sunday, November 29 immediately following the 11:00 service. We need all the help we can get. Come work off that turkey and dressing.

BTW, I put on 8 pounds over Halloween weekend. Next year, I'm going trick or treating with the kids. Staying home to pass out candy to all the neighborhood kids did me in. Jennifer wonders how we ALMOST ran out of candy. I will post a picture of the kiddos dressed up in their Halloween costumes later today. Too cute!

USC is so overrated! They got blown out by The Ducks. Looking forward to LSU @ Alabama.

If you made it all the way to the bottom of this extremely longwinded blog post...WOW!

What a great service! I love the Baptismal Sundays, but I'm glad they don't happen TOO often. I always feel ike a big girl. By the way, I'm sure more than a few people referred to Jesus' original discipleship as a "cult", so let them talk. Truly great work always comes with enormous contempt and criticism.

God is so good to us at Graystone. These are exciting times. You can tell when things are going well by how much criticism you receive. Typically people who do very little are not criticized because there is frankly nothing going on.

We believe in the diety of Christ, the priesthood of the believer, the vicarious atonement of Christ, the inerrancy of Scripture, salvation for all who believe, and the certain return of Christ. If that's a cult - sign me up.

over-flowing post. I love it!!

Typically, only religious people start calling a movement of God a cult. IGNORE it. No need to defend Jesus. He already won the battle. He's a big boy and His Father happens to be the God of the universe.

Go God, go Graystone, go all those who were baptized this weekend. May we never stop trusting the God who proves Himself faithful time and time again.

JESUS RULES!!

Sorry for the double post - loose nut at the key board.

I missed the second service baptisms, did someone video tape the service?
