Graystone's Top 9 of 2009

In 2009 Graystone Church celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary. God continues to have His hand on our church, and I am simply thankful to be a part of it. Here are the Top 9 things God did in and through graystone this year:

9. 40 kids (3rd-5th graders) attended our first ever Summer Kid's Camp, Centrikid, in Toccoa Falls, Georgia.

8. GSM multiplied into two Student Ministries (middle school and high school). 78 students went to Summer Camp at Look Up Lodge.

7. Over $50,000 was given to missions/benevolence, and we continue to see lives changed through short term mission trips to South Africa and the Dominican Republic.

6. As a result of our Use Me message series, over 300 adults are volunteering and serving God.

5. At our Christmas Eve services, 1300 people worshipped God and celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

4. A fruitful ministry was started in Gwinnett Estates Mobile Home Communityy. A back to school party provided school supplies for 200 kids, and we hosted a fall festival. The homework help tutoring program is taking place 2 afternoons a week. We purchased a trailer that will be renovated into a community center. And we provided Christmas for over 20 families.

3. We moved into our new building, a beautiful 24,000 square foot multi-purpose facility that will be used for church on Sundays and a park and community center throughout the week.

2. Final ALL IN Offering...we needed to raise $400,000 cash in 6 months to "Finish the Building". Heading into the final Sunday, we still needed $80,000. Well, $162,000 came in that Sunday's offering and over $500,000 has been given to the ALL IN Building Fund.

1. Over 120 people were baptized this year...many making spontaneous, public professions of their faith in Christ.

2009 was quite the year and we expect God to do even GREATER THINGS in 2010!
