Perhaps, just perhaps, God's true desire in this disaster is to test all of us who weren't affected, even in the simplest of ways. What God desires (from my remedial perspective)is our faith, and by praying to Him for the Haitians, don't we show that faith to Him? Our relief efforts and donations are needed, no doubt, but God is the ONLY one who can upright this overturned apple cart. So perhaps, just perhaps, He's seeking our prayers and not a lot more. Just my naive thought for the day.
Good thoughts Steve. Each Christian (and church) has to decide how we will respond...greatest of all we need to respond with love towards God and love towards the Haitians.
"Oh the the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God, how unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out.... Who can know the mind of God and who can be His counselor."
