Largest Crowd in the History of Graystone

Well, we were trusting God that 01.10.10 (our grand opening) would be the largest Sunday in the history of Graystone Church. And it was BY FAR. God answered our prayers AGAIN (Why do we not trust HIM more?). I think everyone in our church brought a friend. I was incredibly excited about each person there but was super pumped about the family being there that I had written on my stone (See message "Living Stones").

I cannot say enough about our team of volunteers. They are amazing! "Kyle and the Band" nailed it. The worship set to open the service was perfect. God is ALIVE! And I love The Revelation song. Very worshipful and Erin did a great job escorting us into the presence of God. I teared up as Ryan Brooks sang "My Wish" accompanied by the slide show of Graystone Kids. BTW, we have the most beautiful kids in the world. Just sayin'. And I loved ending the service "pouring our hearts out" in prayer for our kids. "Find Your Wings" was the perfect response song. I teared up again seeing so many couples come down front to kneel at the altar and pray for their kids. BTW, I told you to bring some kleenex.

I have received more comments about my message this week than normal. You should be able to watch it here later this week. Several people liked my dance moves (I saw a few guys taking notes and that was only a small sampling of my repertoire. I was holding back with so many new people there. Didn't want to scare too many people off.), others shared in my appetite for fried dill pickles, but hopefully, EVERYONE was motivated to fulfill God's unique purpose for their lives and the lives of their children.

Well, let's do it again next Sunday. 01.10.10 was only the beginning of the next BIG PHASE of ministry for Graystone Church. This Sunday should be just as powerful as last. Who are you bringing? Who is the one person that you want to see become "a living stone"?

Repertoire? I'm impressed my friend. And yes, a tear-jerking service to say the least. We love our children, and nothing pulls at our heart's more than they do. My "stone guest" couldn't make - said he was out of town - but wants to try another Sunday. So I'll keep praying for him, you keep doing great work for the Lord, and I know that ALL of our unique purposes will be shown to us in His time.

There is no way to describe how happy I am that my daughter and I were able to talk - okay, FORCE my hubby there for the Grand Opening. I don't know exactly what he expected, but his impression of churches was not positive. But he came, he listened, he laughed and most of all, he "GOT IT". After it was over, he said he really, really liked it and that you were "real". THANK YOU, JONATHAN!

My daughter and I had to convince -okay, PRESSURE my hubby to come Sunday. He has a really negative, sweeping generalization opinion of "churches" so it was tough. He does work most Sundays but, we really begged for this one. In short, we convinced him to attend. After we left, he said he liked it. He said that you all seemed "realistic" and that it wasn't what he imagined.
I think that the fact that he was able to dress how he normally dresses, that he could laugh a little, that he heard good music and could feel comfortable MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. Like I said, he does work on Sundays usually, but I believe he will be willing to come again when he can. THAT IS A MIRACLE! I know that one person does not stand out or make or break anything but for our family, IT DID! :*) Thank you so much!

What a great message on Sunday! The music was great and the message just spoke to me and touched my heart. I was not the only Mom in the crowd with tears flowing down my face. Steve was right when he said that nothing pulls at our hearts more than our children. You did a great job as usual it was one of my favorite ones!
