With a ton to catch up on from the holiday break and in preparation for the grand opening (more on this later), I have been in meetings all day. Fun. Heath, Kyle and I did break away for a Moe's Monday $5 burrito. I guess I'm still on the holiday eating plan. BTW, I have accepted being "big boned" and have set zero New Year's resolutions concerning health and fitness. I have decided that I will NOT start smoking or drinking. And I have no intentions of getting tatted.
My only New Year's resolution is to do B90X with the church. B90X is graystone's daily Bible reading plan. Our goal is to read the New Testament in the next 90 days which will lead us up to Easter on April 4. Click here to see/download the plan. Speaking of Easter, we (the brain trust of graystone's creative team) realized today that Easter falls on the first Sunday of the Gwinnett County Spring Break. Bummer.
Well, yesterday's services seemed a little blah. With it being 75 degrees below zero and everyone still in holiday mode, we, the brain trust, did not feel like it was our best service. Melinda did blow the doors off with her beautiful voice, and I loved the final song with Ryan singing and Kyle on his acoustic guitar. The parent child dedication was special and 50+ adults attended Newcomers during the 11:00 service. Having the membership class in the lobby during the service was a first and we are still getting feedback if the logistics worked.
Several people told me that they enjoyed hearing the story of how God provided for us to get in the building. Hearing about God's miracles never gets old. God always has the best plan whether it is our perfect plan or not. This building is a testimony to God's faithfulness, and we are "living stones" being built into a spiritual house. I am praying for each name that was written on the stones yesterday (God knows who they are). I pray that God will do a work in each of their lives that only HE can do.
Well, I'm late for an elder meeting. Remember that tomorrow is T-shirt Tuesday. Trusting God to do GREAT THINGS at the grand opening and BEYOND.

The "brain trust" was a little off, I think. Yesterday's message was exceptional indeed. Reflecting, reminiscing, looking back, whatever you want to call it, is sometimes the best way to a person's heart. The wise understand that the truest way to know where you're headed is to know just where you have been. Thanks, by the way, for taking time to read my blog as well, even in a day filled with meetings. You're a good man, Charlie Brown.
The Inlow's thought yesterday was great, real. Real is cool.
Doesn't sound blah to me!

The "brain trust" is definitely a little off.
Good stuff. What a great show of God's glory getting Graystone to where we are. Pumps me up. Well put at the end of the message. We are Graystone.
We're excited about a few friends coming this week and hoping and praying that a couple more will come as well.
