NYC (Part 2): NBA

The NBA Playoffs are in full swing. I do not know of too many NBA fans at Graystone... Shack, Todd, Dudish (maybe) and myself. So, not everyone will truly appreciate this blog. By the way, the Hawks had a nice run and Chris Paul is GOOD.

Anyway, on Saturday morning somewhere in THE CITY, ESPN was hosting a fan fare. There were tons of booths and many giveaways. Joelan and I are suckers for receiving free stuff/junk (sweatbands, big foam #1 fingers, key rings, bumper stickers, etc.). Well, two of the freebies were New York Knicks hats. Long story short, we met John Starks and got him to sign our NY Knicks hats. As John was signing our hats, we talked about the dunk that he had on Horace Grant and Michael Jordan. Joelan and I were the only ones walking around THE CITY wearing NY Knicks hats. Later that day we went to the NBA Store and took our picture next to a life-size Shaquille O'neal Bobblehead. We capped off the day eating dinner upstairs at the ESPN Zone overlooking Times Square (nice view). Joelan was more impressed with the view of the TVs over the urinals in the bathroom. For this reason, he visited the bathroom 4 times during dinner.
