God Is Doing Amazing Things

I went for a jog this morning and took Jennifer's ipod (Mine is currently "lost"/misplaced but that is story for another time.) Anyway, Jennifer has a bunch of great worship songs on her ipod that I have not heard in a while. As I was jogging and worshiping God, He reminded me of all the AMAZING THINGS that He is doing in my life and ministry right now.

Here are just a few reasons to PRAISE HIM:

1. Jesslyn Kay - I woke up before everyone this morning (except Jesslyn). I got her out of her bed, and she feel back asleep in my arms for about an hour. PRICELESS!

2. Julia - My little girl turns 9 years old on Sunday, and we are celebrating her birthday today.

3. The New Building - Yesterday, we ordered the steel for the new building. Ryan (builder), Jenni (civil engineer), Gordon (architect) and the building team are working incredibly hard to lower the cost under budget and obtain a permit from Gwinnett County. We are weeks, DAYS, away from this miracle going up.

4. Dominican Republic Team - Our mission team to Orphanage Outreach in Monto Cristi, Dominican Republic returns tomorrow. I cannot wait to hear all that God has done in and through their lives.

5. Partnership with FCA - God has opened the door for Graystone Church to establish an incredible partnership with The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Brain Lane, our former missionary to Brazil, has recently become FCA's Director of Football for Gwinnett County. He is full-time with FCA and will function on Graystone Staff Team and run his FCA ministry through Graystone. He will be our missionary to the sports world of Gwinnett County. Are you kidding me? This is HUGE! Next Summer, we will be running FCA camps and much, much more at Graystone's new facility. It is amazing how God orchestrates His perfect plan and brings all the pieces together. I will share more about FCA in a future blog.

6. Baptism Celebration - We are having another baptism celebration at Graystone on Sunday morning during both services. Several people are CRASHING the waters of baptism and making their public profession of faith. Also, on Sunday afternoon, we will drive to Greenville, SC to support my niece, Kaley Claudepierre, as she is baptized. I am very proud of her commitment to Jesus Christ!

7. Big Door Opening - There is another really BIG DOOR opening for the future ministry of Graystone Church. I do not feel led to share it with everyone right now. But it is HUGE and will require another great step of faith. Please be praying for this incredible opportunity to come to fruition.

8. Matt Harvie - It has been three weeks since Matt's near fatal accident. His life continues to be a MIRACLE of God. It is amazing to me to see how THE CHURCH, the body of Christ around the world, has come together to pray for and support Matt and his family. Please continue to pray for his healing and a complete recovery.

God truly is doing immeasurable more that I could ever ask or imagine!

PS What happened to the Georgia Bulldogs Baseball Team? I was very disappointing in their loss, but they had a nice run. I personally know what it feels like to come in 2nd and lose the NCAA National Championship Game/Match. Speaking of tennis, why are there no good American tennis players? Let me go ahead and put this prediction out there: Jesslyn Kay Howes is going to win Wimbledon 2025. I am currently making her first tennis racket (pictures to come).

PSS Wow, that was almost a Top 10 List. I guess it is if you count my two PS's.
