Baby Kate and More

Jenn and I met Baby Kate (Kathryn Jane Hollandsworth) yesterday. As you can see, she is beautiful. I couldn't tell if she looked like Jim or Melinda. I kind of think she looks like Jessie. I have never seen Jim so giddy.

I have become a facebook maniac these last few days. I have added close to 150 friends and have received way to many emails. It is a bit overwhelming, but I am enjoying reconnecting with old friends and better connecting with current ones. If you haven't joined facebook yet, get with the program. You can "become my friend" and become a Fan of Graystone.

I am so impressed with Josh Hamilton...not only his 500 foot bombs but his incredible testimony of God working in his life.

I'm not sure what Brett Favre is thinking. It is a bit embarrassing. I'm not quite ready to de-fan myself as I had to do with Chris Jackson.

We still have not actually (though officially we have) broken ground on the new building. The target date is now August 1st. We are basically waiting on a little thing called a building permit. Since we are not using the land, someone (not Elliot) has set up a little apartment in one of the dugouts. My expert opinion is that they are using it as a "make out" headquarters. I would not touch that old futon with a 10 foot pole.

Does the 5 second rule apply if you drop something (not food) in the toilet? (This is not a rhetorical question. Please share your thoughts in the COMMENTS section below this post.)

Our staff team had a BIG TIME creative planning day yesterday. I'm not sure why the creative juices were flowing. It may have been because Jim was absent? Anyway, the next three message series are going to be "off the hook" (or is it "off the chain"?). I would tell you what they are, but my assistant would frown upon it. I will say that one of them will come with a long sleeve black t-shirt (obviously this will be later in the Fall).

Well, if you are still with me on this random thoughts blog, here is the Bible passage for today: James 2:8-13.
