New FCA Staff Member

I just had lunch with Brian Lane and Chris Clark, FCA Gwinnett's newest staff member.  Chris will be the Assistant Director of Football and will be working alongside of Brian.  Chris played football at the University of South Carolina under both Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier.  Chris' wife, Latasha, won an olympic gold medal in Sydney in 2000 and her autobiography is available on Amazon.  They are a tremendous addition to the FCA team, and I excited about partnering with them to DOMINATE our community with the love of Jesus Christ.

If no one has told you how wonderful Sundays' service was, please let me tell you. The quite dark with the candles just set the mood. The old hymns were wonderful and as I looked around I saw more people rocking gently to the hymns. Us older folks can remember those old hymns and the joy of singing them -- Kyle and the praise team did a termendous job. Your messages are always inspiring and thought provoking. I always write down the bible verses you refer to and read them when I get home on Sunday or on Monday. I hope that all are well in your household and everyone on the mend. My heart went out to you and Jennifer, there is nothing worse than a sick child in the hospital. So---why was it not mentioned in church, your entire congreation should have been praying for you and your family. Far too few people knew about your son. I for one appreciate that you stayed with your flock as we need you very much. I'm praying for Friday and your surgery and that you will have a speedy recovery. Will we be seeing you on Sunday????? From ewe know who.

Thanks for your prayers and continued support. I probably should have mentioned Joelan being in the hospital, but I did not want to take away from the message at hand. Also, I guess I just did not want to take about it with everyone on Sunday morning. Joelan is still weak but made it to school yesterday and today. Julia now has the stomach virus and is home from school. Please pray for her recovery. Also, please pray that it does not spread to the rest of the family, especially Jessie.
