NAKEDNESS

Today, when I encouraged the wives to pursue their husbands with their NAKEDNESS, I received more Amens in one chorus than I have received combined in the 4.25 years of Graystone Church. If truth be told, there would be more than enough NAKEDNESS in the marriage relationship if us husbands would pursue our wives with communication, thoughtfulness, affection and protection. I was a little uncomfortable talking about the subject of intimacy in the marriage relationship, but this is a vital part of healthy marriages.

God is the one who designed and created sex. Sex is not a bad thing. It is a very good thing when it is applied as God intended...within the marriage covenant. Sex has become a "dirty thing" because the world has perverted it. We are constantly bombarded with the world's way of sex. We see it on billboards, TV show/commercials, movies, radio and all over the internet. In our dark world, sex sells. Since the world is promoting sexual immorality, I thought it would be important to talk about God's view of sex in church. If we cannot talk about it in church, then where can we talk about it?

Next Sunday, I will be even more candid and talk in greater detail of the world's way verses God's way. I will spend the bulk of my time challenging the married couples to fulfill vow #3: The Vow of Purity. But God has laid on my heart a very powerful and direct message for the students and singles. Please be in prayer for me this week as I finalize next Sunday's message.
