Tuesday Tidbits

A-Roid...explaining AGAIN this morning the harm of steroids to Joelan...I know that I am buff blog friends, but I promise it is all natural...especially my hair. Some have suggested that I go with the front to back comeover (I.e. Pat Riley).

My first pick in the 11-12 year old baseball draft (1st pick third round if you are keeping score at home) wears Adult Large pants and Adult Extra Large jersey. He is bigger than everyone on the Graystone Staff Team with the exception of Laner. My number two pick's nickname is ManChild. I have catcher and first base covered.

We (Heath, Kyle and yours truly) were rocking and rolling yesterday at our creative planning meeting. The upcoming series, Fireproof, is going to be a good one. Not all of our ideas (actually very few) make it to Sunday morning but here are a few of the ones mentioned: glamor shots of Heath, some 90's love song by KC and JoJo, Karate Kid, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Beyonce, Garth, Taylor Swift, Peter Cetera, Phil Collins, and much much more. Which of these two ideas go together (matching game)?

I invited 500 of my facebook friends to join the facebook group, Graystone Church. I'm wondering if we can count the members of Graystone Church Facebook Group as actual members of Graystone. This should help us reach the membership numbers we need for the bank loan. By the way, I am fading fast on not cutting my hair until we break ground on the new building.

On a serious note, please pray for the elders. We have been offered a 1.9 million-2.1 million loan from a private investor to finance the building of our new church. We have been wading through the 12 page contract, made a couple of counter offers (negotiations), prayed A LOT (Forrest Gump voice), and are meeting at 6:15 on Thursday morning to make a decision. If we move forward, it will be a major step of faith, and we will need EVERYONE at Graystone to "step up to the plate".

The hair may be coming off soon. I may go all out and get blond highlights. This would be the first time that I would not be all natural. But I do not think there are steroids in hair coloring. Is that like food coloring? Anyway, I don't think I have to worry about whether I make it our not into the Preachers Hall of Fame. I will just stick with the Lamb's Book of Life.

BTW, have you checked out the new Graystone website?

Later Gators!
Johnny
