Joshua and Caleb

This semester, our Men's Small Group has been doing a character study of several men of the Old Testament. The past two weeks, we have been investigating the lives of Joshua and Caleb. Joshua has always been one of my favorite people of the Bible, but I have learned new insights and gained a ton of respect for Caleb.

I told Jennifer the other day that if God blessed us with another son, I would like to name him Joshua Caleb Howes. She looked at me like I was insane. As many of you know, I have already gone down the road that ends in a sack of frozen peas, and our lives are completely FULL and extremely busy with THREE beautiful children. I said to her, "I'm just saying...if God does a miracle and drops a baby boy on our doorstep, I would like to name him after these two godly men of the faith." Plus he would have the same initials as Jesus Christ, just like our one and only son, Joelan Charles, or as his Gramps likes to call him, JC.
