Kids Camp...Random Update

ALL the kids are having a blast! There have been a few homesick campers and a few very minor injuries (I.e. ant bites) but nothing to worry about. So, with that said, here's are some random updates:

swimming pools are better than swimming ponds

there is a beautiful waterfall close to our dorm...we will take our church group picture there tonight

the CK (Centri-kid) band rocks and is HIGH energy

girls can scream really loud, especially one little blond 10 year old that I know

the CK staff use a lot of drama and video to communicate with the kids

the kids love hang-time and buying snacks at the Eagle's Nest

the camp pastor, Sammy, is doing a great job putting the gospel on the kid's level

the kids love our Centri-kid Staffer, Tyler. He is 18 years old and the boys really connect with him

It is neat to see all the kids reading the Bible and having their quiet time in the morning.

there is no Starbucks in town but Dale, Dustin and I have found a little coffee shop...need the energy

camp food is camp food

I ate an entire giant hersey bar with almonds last night...STUPID (600+ calories)...July 20 weigh-in is in serious jeopardy

the kids are divided up into different Bible Study groups with kids from other churches and a CK staffer as their BS leader

after the morning rally, the older kids and younger kids flip flop Bible Study time and rec time

Graystone has one of the largest groups here and definitely the loudest

Afternoon (1-4 PM) is when the kids go to the various tracts (2 each): wiffle ball, weird science, kitchen chaos, lawn games, no boys allowed, football, splish splash, archery, etc.)

There is a big competition every night after the worship service and church group time called The Party. The boys (blue) won the first night and the girls (red) won the second night.

Jennifer, Joelan, Julia and I are REALLY missing Jessie!
