crazy love by Francis Chan, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, CA, is rocking my world. If you have not read the book, I would encourage you to do so. You can also watch videos on the book's website. crazy love will challenge your thinking about God, the church, Christianity and yourself. Francis closes chapter 5 with the following paragraph,
"I know that this whole swimming-upstream, pursuing-Christ, taking-up-your-cross, counting-the-cross thing isn't easy. It's so hard, in fact, that Jesus said the road is narrow and few will find it...and fewer still among those who are *rich. Like the parable of the sower, don't assume you are the good soil; don't assume you are one of the few on the narrow way."
Are you on the good soil?
Are you one of the few on the narrow way?
I don't think Francis is trying to get us to question our salvation. I think he is challenging us to examine our lives.
*Earlier in the chapter, Francis shared that the majority of the world lives on $2 a day. So, simply by having enough money to buy his book, we would be considered RICH.
