I have been leading a Bible Study on Wednesday mornings with a few of the coaches from Archer High School. This morning we studied Psalm 19. This is a great passage about God's general revelation through creation and his special revelation through His word.
Here are a few principles that stood out to us:
The heavens declare the glory of God.
The skies proclaim the work of his hands.
The law of the Lord is perfect.
God's word revives the soul.
The statutes of God are trustworthy.
God's word gives wisdom to the inexperienced.
The ordinances of the Lord are righteous...more precious than gold and sweeter than honey.
Obeying God's word leads to GREAT REWARD.
God forgives our hidden sins...even the ones we do not know about.
God gives us strength to overcome our "willful sins".
God is our Rock and our Redeemer.
If God's word dwells in us and revives our souls, then the meditations of our hearts and the words of our mouths will be pleasing to God.
Let me encourage you to read and study Psalm 19 today.
What truths of God's word stand out to you?
How can you apply them to your life?
