Some of my favorite blog posts have been my random thoughts (I.e. everyone seems to be adding a chicken wrap to their menu). Well, for this week's Friday Favs, here are this morning's random thoughts:
There is so much going on to get ready for Sunday @ graystone that I forgot about the Oregon State vs. Oregon football game last night. Crazy huh? You have to love Thursday night football. I guess? BTW, I picked the Ducks to win. They are the real deal and should DOMINATE OSU in the Rose Bowl. It looks like LSU will play Penn State in the Capital One Bowl (What's in your wallet?...money I hope).
Jennifer and I did get to watch The Office last night. How did we ever survive without a DVR? Scott's Tots...I get so uncomfortable watching Michael Scott's antics...how do they come up with this stuff? Sometimes, I feel like I'm the Michael Scott of Graystone. But that's another post for another day.
God has been sneaking up on me from behind lately. I wasn't ready for Heath's message and our last Sunday in the warehouse being so powerful. And I certainly was not ready for last night. 250 folks showed up for the Volunteer Training. Are you kidding me? The parking lot was packed with the cars of servant leaders. There is a ton of momentum at Graystone right now and EVERYONE is incredibly excited. And we should be. We have gone ALL IN with God. People have given sacrificially of their resources (time, treasures, talents), and God has come through AGAIN and AGAIN. Our new building is a memorial to all that God has done and will be a launching pad to DOMINATE our community with the love of Jesus Christ!
I have no idea how many people will show up at Graystone on Sunday. But I have an "overwhelming sense" (whatever that means) that God is going to sneak up on us and "do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine". God is GREAT!

I can't wait to see the GREEN MACHINE Sunday morning. We love Graystone Church!
Jesus Rules!
I cannot stop thinking about this Sunday! I'm so fired up! God is SO good!
Now I'm coming, just to see Chris Landress excited.
We have a great staff team - way to go, especially Jim H.
