Everyone who came to Graystone Church for our first Sunday in the new building received a 01.10.10 green t-shirt. If you did not get yours, we have ordered 300 more for this Sunday. We are asking EVERYONE to wear their t-shirts around town with Tuesdays being the day that EVERYONE wears their shirt. But please feel free to wear them 7 days a week if you prefer. If you forgot to wear yours today or you cannot wear it to work, then let me encourage you to put it on tonight when you go to the gym, your kid's practice, dinner or wherever.
If you have nowhere in particular to go, let me encourage you to go walk around your local grocery store for 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure someone will ask you about the t-shirt. I have already heard of dozens of people who have been invited to Graystone simply by our graystoners wearing their green t-shirts on Sunday afternoon to local restaurants and grocery stores.
The most effective way for someone to visit a new church is through a personal invite. The percentages of a first-time visitor coming back to church a 2ND time are far greater, if they already know people at the church. So, if you invite them and they come, they already know you. Let me encourage everyone to proudly wear your 01.10.10 shirt and boldly invite people to church. Just think how cool it would be if God changes someones life for all eternity simply by YOU wearing a cool green t-shirt.
