I love this picture! It is a picture of the players and coaches of the Spring 2007 GAA Pee Wee Fastpitch Girls Softball *Pink Panthers. A picture is worth a 1000 words and this picture "screams out" why I love coaching kid sports, especially the girls because they are incredibly cute and actually listen to their coaches.
10 Reasons Why I Love Coaching Kid Sports
1. The special bond that I am able to create with my son/daughter
2. The friendships that I make with the kids, coaches, team moms and parents (most of them)
3. The joy on the kids' faces
4. The satisfaction of seeing a player develop better athletic skills
5. The competition
6. The positive influence and example that I am able to set for the kids, coaches and parents (most of them)
7. The leadership and character qualities developed in the kids from winning, losing and "playing the game"
8. The opportunity to impact others for Jesus Christ (9 of the people in this picture along with many of their friends and family are now a part of the family of faith at Graystone Church)
9. It is so much FUN!
10. The Uniform (*Yes, I am wearing a pink visor and a pink shirt. It's a good move to let the kids pick the team color/name.)
