Well, I'm 39 years old. It's hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday that I was a kid trying not to wet the bed at night. I was a late bedwetter...not good for spending the night with friends. Sorry if that was too much info. I have not blogged in a while, so I'm not sure what is going to come out. Anyway, 39 seems really old...but not as old as 40. Next Summer, I'm either going to have a huge 40th birthday party at Graystone's brand new church facility (everyone's invited!) or another quiet birthday with family in Destin, Florida. I'm not sure how many birthdays this is for me in Florida but this seems to be the best week for us to come to the beach or the only week that my parents can get us the condo. Anyway, sorry for rambling...we missed being at Graystone today but are having a big time at the beach.
Last night after eating seafood at The Back Porch, we went down to the beach and watched the sunset. It was Jessie's first time to the beach. I was explaining to her about God's incredible creation and that he holds the oceans in the palm of his hands. I'm not sure if she got it. Actually, I'm not sure if I completely get it. All I do know if that God is love, and I am thankful for this incredible life that he has given me to live. And hopefully, the life that I am living is a reflection of God's love. Well, Joelan just came and told me that it's time to get ready for dinner. We are heading to Bonefish for my birthday. I will probably have Bang Bang Shrimp, salad with blue cheese salad dressing, some great bread with the olive oil mix, and some type of grilled fish. No, I am not on a diet, but I had a big ole fried platter last night.
I hope to blog again soon.
Johnny
PS
Here are our favorite things so far at the beach:
Joelan: skimboarding
Julia: looking for seashells and going in the ocean
Jennifer: watching the sunset from the beach
Jessie: the seafood
Johnny: all of the above
